Your account
We use your name and email to run your account, communicate about your membership and contact you about an entry. Faber accounts, first-issue entry accounts and the private editorial desk use Netlify Identity, with submissions and subscriber verification records stored in Netlify Database. Passwords are managed by the authentication service; Faber does not store readable passwords.
Your competition entry
We store the information you submit: your public credit and profile link, where you are based, the image title, where and when it was taken, gear, editing notes, the required story behind your image and publication consent, and links to your finished image and RAW file.
Entries and RAW links are private to your account and Faber’s authorised editorial team. Selected finished images, public credits, shot locations, gear and approved stories may be published. RAW files, account emails and editing-verification material are not public. Please use file-specific sharing links, not a link to a folder containing unrelated personal files.
Live subscriber tracker
Private Stripe verification records use customer and subscription identifiers to count each qualifying paying customer once. Stripe webhooks are signature-verified and reconciled against Stripe. The public count endpoint returns only the verified count, its update time, campaign status and prize tier, never customer identifiers or contact/payment information. Approved results publish only the selected photographer’s credit, image title, finished-image link and story, never contact details or RAW links.
Payments and delivery
Stripe handles payment information. Print addresses are collected at checkout for delivery. Membership checks match your verified account email to your Stripe subscription. Faber does not receive your full card details. Sponsors do not receive member lists, contact details or RAW files.
Affiliate attribution
When you follow an affiliate link to Faber, Rewardful uses a first-party referral cookie to remember who referred you while you browse and return to the website. Rewardful receives referral information and the page URL, page title and referring page used for attribution. If you subscribe, we pass the referral ID to Stripe so Rewardful can associate the paid subscription with the referring affiliate through our connected Stripe account. This tracking is used for affiliate attribution, not to give affiliates access to your account, card details, competition entries or RAW files.
Free account registration does not earn a commission. Affiliate commissions are intended only for eligible new paying subscriptions after the first successful payment, not renewals, self-referrals or refunded purchases. Eligibility and commissions are administered in Rewardful, not by this website.
Storage and your choices
The website uses essential browser storage to keep you signed in. Rewardful also uses a referral cookie for affiliate attribution. Its lifetime is set by our Rewardful campaign. You can block or clear cookies using your browser settings, or block the Rewardful script; checkout remains available, although affiliate attribution may not work. Account and entry consent checkboxes apply to those services and do not opt you into affiliate tracking. Service providers may process data outside New Zealand. We retain account and entry information while needed to provide the service and administer the competition, and review it when you request account closure or withdrawal. Published issues and their credits can remain in the publication archive.
You can ask to access, correct or delete your unpublished personal information by emailing info@fabermagazine.co.nz. We’ll explain if an existing publication or a required record cannot be removed.
