Faber is a monthly photography magazine for people from New Zealand, or those who call it home.
There’s something pretty special about seeing your photograph in print. Holding the magazine, turning the page, and finding something you made. I’m starting Faber because I want more photographers to experience that.
You don’t need a big following, an expensive camera, or years in the industry. You might be learning the basics, shooting for yourself on weekends, or making a living from it. What matters is the photograph and the story behind it.
Each month, we’ll share work from photographers around the country, alongside real conversations about how they made it. The ideas, the editing, the things that worked, and the things that didn’t.
I want Faber to be a magazine you’re proud to leave on your coffee table. Something you look forward to arriving, pick up more than once, and find yourself showing to someone else.
And hopefully, something that makes you want to grab your camera and get out there again.
