Most of what ends up in this magazine gets there because a reader pointed at somebody and said you should talk to her. Nominate a professional, a business, or a hobbyist who's gone unreasonably deep on something. Yourself counts.
What makes a good one

They're based in the Wellington region, or the work is.

There's something to photograph: a workshop, a process, a wall of half-finished things.

They'd have something to say about why they do it, not just what they sell.

It doesn't have to be a business. Some of the best ones don't make a cent.
